1st grade ended the week by making Fudge in a Bag. The activity was a conclusion to learning the /j/ sound spelled -dge. They are doing a great job reading and spelling words with -dge. They helped put the ingredients into the bags and mix the fudge by squishing the bag. Their favorite part was tasting the fudge. They all loved it.

1st Grade enjoyed celebrating the 100th Day of School. They participated in several activities that included the number 100. They played Chutes and Ladders, rolled their way to 100, built a 100 piece puzzle, created structures with 100 cups, and flipped a coin 100 times to see if they flipped more heads or tails. Thank you to the 8th Grade students who helped lead each activity. The 1st graders had a great time and enjoyed having their help.
